day 60
How to entertain a toddler for 23 minutes and 33 seconds. (ok, I just made that up, but it did keep her busy long enough for me to get the dishes done). All you need is 1 willing and able big brother, 1 soft fuzzy blanket, a floor that isn't too sticky and you're set. Carson pulled Addie around and around on this blanket and all the while she giggled and giggled. I love it when they have fun together like this.
day 57
naptime. the hairdo (or lack of) is pretty typical of this time of day. she can only keep those pigtails in for so long you know. and that would be why, unless we're actually leaving the house (and sometimes even if we are) we just like to go o-naturelle. there's far too many things to stress about in life and keeping lou-lou's hair perfectly groomed 24-7 is definately not one of them. don't let the pretty pics I have of the girls fool ya...when I actually take the time to do their hair cute you better believe I'm gonna take pictures to prove that I do it once in a while. ;)

day 53
made one of daddy's favorite treats today.
Chocolate Puffed Wheat Squares.
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups puffed wheat
Measure out puffed wheat in a heatproof bowl. Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan. Set both aside. Combine butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon for 2 minutes before removing from heat. Add vanilla and stir briefly to combine. Pour the hot mixture over the puffed wheat and quickly stir to coat evenly. Pour the coated cereal into the greased baking pan and use a damp spoon or hands to press the mixture evenly into the pan.
