day 69
I don't even remember when the last time Addie had a bubble bath was, but clearly it had been a while. She was fascinated by the bubbles all over her hands.

day 68
made buns today. mmmmmmmm.

day 67
Ha! Caught ya!

day 66
Went into the city for a Costco run and took the kids swimming sans Randal (who was playing hockey). It was fun and exhausting. We all slept really good that night.

day 65
The fridge. Artwork compliments of Emily Cooper. I just love all the sweet notes and pictures she is always making. This one happens to be a painting of her and I.

day 64
what could be funner than this?

day 63
I thought it was spring but I was wrong. It snowed the next day. A lot. I must admit I'm getting reeeaaallly tired of this white stuff. I need sun and green grass and these kids need to get out of this house. Ahhhhhhhhh.

day 62
those banana chocolate chip muffins were yummy!

day 61
making banana chocolate chip muffins.

day 60
How to entertain a toddler for 23 minutes and 33 seconds. (ok, I just made that up, but it did keep her busy long enough for me to get the dishes done). All you need is 1 willing and able big brother, 1 soft fuzzy blanket, a floor that isn't too sticky and you're set. Carson pulled Addie around and around on this blanket and all the while she giggled and giggled. I love it when they have fun together like this.

day 59
Say you are my friend and you ask me to watch your stinkin' cute baby for a few hours. Well, I just might have to take a few pictures of him while he's at my house because I don't think I'll be able to help myself. Just sayin.

day 58
picking up Emmy-lou from school. she was pretty excited to see us.

day 57
naptime. the hairdo (or lack of) is pretty typical of this time of day. she can only keep those pigtails in for so long you know. and that would be why, unless we're actually leaving the house (and sometimes even if we are) we just like to go o-naturelle. there's far too many things to stress about in life and keeping lou-lou's hair perfectly groomed 24-7 is definately not one of them. don't let the pretty pics I have of the girls fool ya...when I actually take the time to do their hair cute you better believe I'm gonna take pictures to prove that I do it once in a while. ;)

day 56
just chattin on the phone. definately one of her favorite toys.

day 55
filing T4's is not on my list of fun things to do on a wednesday afternoon.

day 54
we had a "fancy" dinner tonight for FHE in an effort to emphasize manners and table etiquette. the kids loved it and I've been so proud of how well they've remembered to use their manners since we did this!

day 53
made one of daddy's favorite treats today.

Chocolate Puffed Wheat Squares.

1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups puffed wheat

Measure out puffed wheat in a heatproof bowl. Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking pan. Set both aside. Combine butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon for 2 minutes before removing from heat. Add vanilla and stir briefly to combine. Pour the hot mixture over the puffed wheat and quickly stir to coat evenly. Pour the coated cereal into the greased baking pan and use a damp spoon or hands to press the mixture evenly into the pan.

day 52
on our way to go see Grandma & Grandpa.

day 51
It was warm enough to go for a walk today. YAY!

day 50

day 49
